Course Requirements:
1. Each of the following Required Courses (9-12 credits required credits)
• PHM 819 - Principles of Drug-Tissue interactions (2 - available in summer & fall)
• PHM 830 - Experimental Design & Data Analysis (3 - summer & fall)
• PHM 832 - Applied Integrative Pharmacology Lab (Hybrid) (4 - summer )
• PHM 895 - Applied Project in Integrative Pharmacology (3-6 summer, fall, spring)
2. Science electives (12 or more credits required)
• PHM 350 - Introduction to Human Pharmacology (3 - summer)
• PHM 450 - Introduction to Chemical Toxicology (3 - summer & fall)
• PHM 813 - Cardiovascular Pharmacology (3 - summer)
• PHM 829 - Neuropharmacology (2 - fall)
• PHM 831 - Endocrine Pharmacology (2 - fall)
• PHM 833 - Gastro-Intestinal & Liver Pharmacology (2 - spring)
• PHM 834 - Respiratory Pharmacology (2)
• PHM 840 - Safety Pharmacology (2 - spring)
• MT/BLD 830 - Concepts in Molecular Biology (2 - typically fall, but check Registrar)
• VM 812 - Food Safety Toxicology (3 - typically spring, but check Registrar)
3. Professional electives (6 or more credits required)
• PHM 851 - Intellectual Property & Patent Law (2 - fall)
• PHM 854 - Leadership & Team-Building for Researchers (2 - spring)
• PHM 857 - Introduction to Project Management (2 - summer)
• PHM 858 - The Drug Development Process (3 - spring)
• MT/BLD 842 - Managing Biomedical Lab Operations (2 - typically spring, but check Registrar)
These courses are entirely online with the exception of PHM 832, which supplements online content with a week-long, on-campus laboratory training and PHM 895 which is typically conducted at the student's workplace or other pre-arranged research facility.
