The Department occupies approximately 30,000 square feet on the third and fourth floors of the Life Sciences Building, a modern air-conditioned facility which faces the beautiful Baker Woodlot on the southeast end of Michigan State University's 5,200-acre campus.

The Department also has resources in buildings nearby which facilitate serving three colleges (Human Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Veterinary Medicine). The Center for Integrative Toxicology is housed in the new National Food Safety & Toxicology Center.
The University Laboratory Animal Resources (ULAR) is located within the Clinical Center beside the Life Sciences Building.
The Animal Health Diagnostic Laboratory is well equipped with modern analytic instruments to provide toxicology laboratory services. It is housed in the new Diagnostic Center for Population and Animal Health on Beaumont Road.
